Carson Hot Springs
Whether you have just finished the tour at the foot of Mt. Adams, the Klickitat River fishing, or antique shops in White Salmon, a fun way to end your day is a stop on the Carson Mineral Hot Springs Spa & Golf on the outskirts of Carson, Washington Resort. A scenic hour's drive from Portland, OR and 45 minutes from Vancouver, WA, these springs are a mixture of rustic and sparkling new accommodations.
Built in 1892, the original bath house remains use adjacent to the Hotel San Martin, built in 1901, where they check in after immersion foot tubs in the mineral water piped directly from the springs, an attendant will wrap you in a cocoon of blankets, purifying and energizing your body while you rest for 20 minutes. Massages are also available with raising therapists.
Hot Springs The rooms are a mixture of old tradition and modern look, no televisions or phones to disturb your sleep. The tradition in the spa is "off for a while."

Skamania Lodge Golf Course
Skamania Lodge offers a challenging 18-hole, par-70 course with breathtaking views green and quiet. Amenities include a driving range, practice bunker, chipping and putting greens. Located on 175 wooded acres, the course also a pro shop, rental car, and PGA professionals to help with your game.
Golf packages are available, and a Golf Academy with professional instruction for all levels of golf experience. Since March, the hotel organizes tournaments golf courses throughout the spring and summer, including coding and charity events. Annual passes and businesses are also available.
For family outings, Skamania Lodge offers a golf course "Golf Family Bigfoot" Programme for Sunday and Tuesday evenings from June to September.

Beacon Rock Golf Course
Playing Rock! Is the slogan Beacon Rock Golf Course. Built with time, energy and supplies donated by residents who want a place to play at the local level, this 18-hole course offers excellent conditions to play in a beautiful setting in the east of Beacon Rock State Park on the Washington side of Columbia River, five miles west of the Bridge of the Gods.
Emphasizing a sense of community, Beacon Rock offers weekly specials that cover the gamut of golfers, packages including juniors, seniors, men and women. During the offseason, offering a pass for unlimited golf winter from November to February.

Hood River: Hiking and mountain biking
Eagle Creek Hike
The Columbia River Gorge National scenic area is known for its high concentration of waterfalls, which makes the landscape even more compelling drama for hikers. From temperate rainforest to cascading rivers, there is everything from nature walks to multi-day backpack. When completed, the Columbia Gorge Road will extend over 35 miles throughout the Gorge. Road planners envision a trail of Portland to Hood River.
For hiking, the Eagle Creek trail is a popular 13-mile walk visiting more waterfalls (half dozen) than any other road in the gorge. To maintain an easy grade, engineers created shelves dug into cliffs. Open all year the tour is moderate, 4.2 miles will take more than a spectacular gorge one of the world's most photographed waterfalls, 30-foot Punchbowl Falls. If you want more, the rise of the Falls of the tunnel is a difficult 12-kilometer walk 1,200 vertical meters (found in the gorge, after all!). Be careful, no dogs allowed, and hikers will be fined if caught with their animals. This is a dangerous path of four-legs.

Ruckel Ridge Loop Hike
Looking for a more rugged way of dealing? Try Ruckel Ridge a primitive trail that climbs four miles in 3750 meters before descending into an eight mile loop. From hikers and out of shape to be warned, "it is not for the faint-of-heart. It is also advisable not to take dogs. Widely recognized as the traitorous-day hike in the Gorge, you will need a good shoe, solid skills search schedules, and strong legs. Dry weather is also a duty. Like to walk alone? Try another way. It is recommended that the soloists to find someone to hike with in this way.
If you are in good shape, the initial climb is not bad, just a series of obstacles to hand over hand at a pace yet. When you consider is in the final climb of 1,000 feet to the Benson Plateau and then the descent. The cycle of nine miles require an early start. Plan ahead, because the path is not easy to find. Post Canyon / Seven Streams Mountain Biking
For a demanding climb, there's nothing like mountain biking in the river canyon Columbia National Scenic Area. Known for xtreme sports in the area due to the harsh conditions, enthusiasts will find this trail is a mixed bag of conditions and difficulties. The trip is 12 miles away with more than half of gravel and dirt roads, single track the rest. While the roads are generally in good condition, there some areas with large loose stones. Tres Esquina Rock
On the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area you find a local favorite ride in the Yacolt Burn State Forest. The journey begins on a rough road gravel, steep and without incident. However, once they hit the road singletrack, the ride gets interesting. The trail descends rapidly, with some strong gusts hill climbing through a forest to Stebbins Creek. Zigzags abound, so it will start testing the quads and pedals. Fishing
One of the largest free Washington rivers, the Klickitat River, located in southeast Washington, flows 100 miles from its source to the Columbia River. With tributaries that flow from the snow-capped Mt. Adams, this river is famous for its salmon and rainbow trout. The deep basalt canyon walls of the gorge and a beautiful landscape of trees on the crests of the hills to create a unique environment for fly fishing. Two miles upstream from the community of Lyle, the river narrows into a gutter, where salmon and rainbow trout struggle upriver to spawn each fall.

Skamania is the Chinook Indian word for "swift water", which describes the many waterfalls near this magnificent mountain resort, located on the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Just 45 miles east of Portland, Oregon on the Washington side of Columbia River, the resort offers 254 rooms, 22,000 square feet conference and event space, and an 18 hole par 70 golf course.
Built in 1993 in a public-private partnership The Columbia River Gorge Commission USDA Forest Service, Skamania County, and Grayce Resources, Inc., the hotel was designed with the great lodges of the early 1900s in mind. Rural, but with features modern, the hotel was built with large timber recycling more than 100 years after the BumbleBee cannery in Astoria, Oregon, natural stone, slate and Montana to complement the rock fireplace.
